Beauty & Health: Fruits For Skin

Hey Friends!!

          According to you what is fast food? Well these days we confuse fast food with junk food. Fast food means the food which is ready to eat and easily available. Fruits are one of the categories which fall in fast food and fruits are the Best Medicine is a well known fact. 

Another Fact- A cup of fruit juice a day is suit to guarantee a clear complexion.

But today, we will talk about how fruits can be utilized without eating, i.e. by using their pulp or by making easy fruit facial.

So here are few ways to pamper your skin without using expensive chemically based skin care products and by easy homemade tips with fruits and by not making a hole in your pocket by visiting the hi-fi saloons/parlors rather give yourself treat of pure stuff which is free of toxins.

Do you know:- besides the fact that fruits hydrate and rejuvenate your skin, the very smell of a fruit on your face is very de-stressing.

Now I’m going to talk about 6 fruits, their properties and how you can use them.

The treatment hereby given are very cost effective and you can see a visible difference after using them regularly.

1     Banana:- it is a good source of Iron and magnesium which helps in reducing menstrual cramps ( during difficult days, consume atleast 1 banana each day). Banana is also rich in Vitamin A, B and E and it thus works as an anti-aging agent.

DIY-  just mash a banana and apply it on your face and neck see the wonders happening. You can also add 1tbsp milk or whipped cream in it for moisture.

2    Lemon:- lemon is a fruit of all seasons and is also important ingredient in most of the Indian recipes. With its astringent properties, lemon can be used to lighten the skin tone and also diminish acne scars.

DIY-  Rub the inside of a lemon peel on your elbow remove dark spots.
           mix lemon and honey and use it as a natural bleach on your skin.
           Mix lemon with warm water and pour it on your hair after shampoo and you will see a   new shine in hair and they will also feel smoother than before.

     Papaya:- papaya is rich in anti-oxidants and contains a special enzyme called papain that can kill dead cells and cure skin impurities.

DIY- Apply the flesh of papaya and rest for 10-15 mins and see the magic happening. You will see the glow and softness instantly.

4    Oranges:- Rich in Vitamin C that improves skin texture. Like lemon, oranges too help clear skin blemishes.

DIY- Rub the inside of orange on your skin to tighten the skin.

-          Peel of oranges can be dried and powdered and can be used natural scrub by mixing the powder with honey or multani mitti (fuller’s earth)

5    Apple- Everybody must have heard a very cliched line from our forefathers- An apple a day keeps doctor away. Undoubtedly, health benefits of eating apple are in abundance. Apple’s anti-oxidant property prevents cell and tissue damage. Apple also contains high amount pf elastin and collagen that keep the skin young.

DIY- Apply a mixture of mashed apple, honey, rosewater and oatmeal and there you go, your exfoliating mask is ready.

6    Mango- The king of fruits and I know many of you must be having water in your mouth as soon as you read its name. the fruit that tastes so good has also some health benefits and this pulpy fruit has great effect on your skin too.

DIY- 2 tsps of smashed mango pulp and mix it with 1 spoon of honey and one spoon of almond oil. Apply on your face for 10-15 mins. Rinse it with cool water.
