Tried and tested - PepperTap.com; An Online Grocery Shopping App

These days online grocery shopping is total in trend and why not?
It is hassle free and you don’t have to leave the comfort of your home to get the daily needs. In lieu to try the latest trend, I got my hands on the latest online grocery shopping app – PepperTap.com

I learnt about this app, just before the SoDelhi confluence, they were one of the main sponsors for the grand event.

Keep on reading to know how my grocery shopping experience with them was.

About PepperTap:

PepperTap – your on-demand grocery app brings you the power and convenience of ordering groceries and fruits & vegetables in your hands. A few taps on the phone and within 2 hours, or at your chosen time slot, you will see the products knocking at your door!

Currently available in Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chandigarh. More cities coming soon.

Navigation on App

It is quite an interesting app with a very colorful homepage. The UI is very smooth and registration on the app is fairly simple. All you have to do is select your city- They have limited cities as of now, but you will find major, popular cities on the board.
And then select your area where you want it to get delivered. In Delhi-NCR, they deliver to almost every area.

On the homepage, there are major categories like Fruits and vegetables, Food and Drink, Breakfast & Dairy, Staples & Spices, Bath & Body, Home & Hygiene and Baby needs. These categories further have subcategories.

There is also one section- Popular. I will suggest If you are in hurry, just check out this option and order your groceries in jiffy as they have the products which are high in demand.

Store Inventory.

Products available in this online store are not in excessive variety, just manageable for routine needs. You will mostly find all the products, which you get at your local grocery stores, like almost all lentils rice, wheat, veggies etc.

In snacks and biscuits they have wide variety but nothing on gourmet or international confectionary. Though their ready to cook section is a delight if you are bachelor.
While the app store impressed me in its food and daily staples section, I really got disappointed when I saw that the bath and body options are very limited. Being a makeup junkie, I didn’t find much option in that category too.

Checkout And Delivery.

As I said earlier, the UI is very smooth for this app and making your list with them is a child’s play. I ordered a lot of confectionary like chips, biscuits and juices along with some house hygiene stuff and it took hardly 20 mins to browse through the whole store. ( Time saving)

At the checkout screen, it asked me if I had any coupon ( On your first purchase, you get a coupon which gives 20% off, maximum discount Rs 200). Without wasting anytime, I applied the coupon and chose the current delivery option.

Within an hour (despite of rain!), the delivery guy with bag full of groceries. But as he was handy me over the order, he told me that few things that I ordered for were out-of-stock and hence, it money will be refund to me within 72 hours.

He asked me to check my complete list of groceries, which is a good thing on his part. And he also asked me to rate the service.

Ups

1.     Easy navigation
2.     Manageable stock of daily goods
3.     Fresh Veggies and dairy products
( this ordered 2nd time)
4.     Mostly discounted products on MRP.
5.     Additional Discounts coupons at the checkout
6.     Fast Delivery
7.     Hassle free and very convenient
8.     Saves time and money.
9.     Minimum delivery at just Rs 250, below which you will have to pay a nominal delivery charge of Rs 50.

Downs.

1.     Not much variety in gourmet and international confectionaries
2.     Very limited stock of bath and body products and same goes for makeup
3.     Stock is not updated on the website.

Suggestions

If the online app store wants to standout in the market and makes it mark up on its customer, to choose them time and again, they must offer something unique. In this case, I feel they should update their stock on the app on regular basis, so that we one thing is not available, a person can look for the alternative.

Overall View

My experience with PepperTap.com was hassle free and I totally love the smooth navigation. It really helped me save those big bucks on fuel and also saved my time. I will be choosing them again for the daily needs. My mom especially has become a huge fan of this app.

I strongly recommend this app for all your daily grocery needs and fresh veggies.
